Since 1960, the leaders of the Priest Associations working in Indonesia have held regular meetings to enhance cooperation, both for the benefit of the Associations and for the Church and Society.<\/p>

In the meeting held from April 11\u201314, 1967, in Cicurug (West Java), they officially established their forum as the \"Assembly of Priest Associations\" (MASI) in accordance with the recommendations of the Second Vatican Council, which emphasized unity and the importance of collaboration among religious men (PC 23; CD 35) and the unity of the presbyterium (LG 28; PO 8), as well as for the purpose of a common mission (AG 32).<\/p>

After the Supreme Leader of the Catholic Church implemented the new Code of Canon Law, which outlined the ideas of the Council (cf. Canon 708-709; 275 \u00a7 1), MASI adjusted its Constitution to become Statutes, and its name was changed to the Meeting of Priest Associations, abbreviated as MASI.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

The religious institution of the leaders of Priest Associations working in Indonesia is named the MEETING OF PRIEST ASSOCIATIONS (abbreviated as MASI). It was established for an indefinite period, and its headquarters is located wherever the Secretary resides.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

MASI aims to enhance cooperation among Priest Associations and to support one another in the service of the Church and in the spirit of mutual dialogue.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

MASI strives to achieve its objectives by:<\/p>

  1. Efforts to enhance the quality of the experience and testimony of religious life.<\/li>
  2. Holding discussions on the life and work of religious priests.<\/li>
  3. Discussing the issues faced;<\/li>
  4. Improving the quality of service to the Church and society.<\/li>
  5. Fostering and developing good cooperation with IBSI, MABRI, KOPTARI, UNIO OF DIOCESAN PRIESTS, KWI, Bishops, and other parties.<\/li><\/ol><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    Based on mutual agreement, the leaders of Priest Associations at the provincial level or its equivalent, and regional provinces, as far as desired by the provincial leader, are ex officio members of MASI.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

    \n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/path><\/svg><\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tBoard of Directors <\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t
    1. The Executive Board of MASI consists of a Chairperson, a Vice Chairperson, and a Treasurer.<\/li>
    2. The Executive Board is elected in a meeting of the members for a term of three years. The vote counting follows the guidelines of the Code of Canon Law, Canon 119 \u00a7 1.<\/li>
    3. The Executive Board appoints a Secretary, who does not necessarily have to be chosen from the members of MASI.<\/li>
    4. If one of the members of the Executive Board chosen by the members' meeting completes their term as the leader of their association or is unable to continue their duties as a member of the Executive Board, the other members will appoint a replacement until the next members' meeting.<\/li>
    5. The Executive Board must meet at least once a year and send the minutes of the meeting to all MASI members.<\/li>
    6. The Chairperson or Vice Chairperson represents MASI to other parties, both in and out of court.<\/li><\/ol><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

      1. The members' meeting is held at least once every three years.<\/li>
      2. The leader of the association should make an effort to attend the members' meeting personally. If they are genuinely unable to attend, the representative they send must be granted full written authorization.<\/li>
      3. The representative sent by the leader of the association only has active voting rights.<\/li>
      4. For the members' meeting to be valid, the attendance of two-thirds of the total members is required.<\/li>
      5. The decisions of the meeting are made by an absolute majority of the votes of the members present.<\/li>
      6.
