Malang – KOPIMANIS KOPTARI is a collaborative platform between religious individuals and young people to celebrate life, vocation, and work. This team was formed on March 11, 2020, by BP KOPTARI. Over the past five years, Kopimanis has experienced many dynamics, starting with highly active online activities during the pandemic, followed by a transition from virtual meetings to in-person gatherings while still maintaining online interactions. Numerous challenges and new strategies have been pursued to ensure that the spirit of joy and the enthusiasm for inspiring encounters that meet the needs of young people continue to be experienced.
The 5th anniversary of KOPIMANIS KOPTARI is a moment of gratitude for Kopimanis' journey, the inter-congregational friendships with young people, the enriching teamwork, and the deepening of meaningful personal relationships with others. It is also a time for reflection and self-improvement.
The KOPIMANIS KOPTARI anniversary celebration will take place on March 15-16, 2025, at the BHK Community in Malang. This event embraces a gathering atmosphere while also being connected online for members who cannot attend in person. The theme for this celebration is "From Me and You to Us." Through this gathering, we hope to reignite the spirit of service and collaboration within the team. The event will be attended by 22 participants, including representatives from 14 congregations and three young people. We are also grateful and encouraged by the presence of Fr. Antonius Gigih Julianto, CM, as the chairman of KOPTARI, and Fr. Dharmawan Adharius, SX, as the mentor of KOPIMANIS KOPTARI. The dynamics of the gathering will be guided by Fr. Fransiskus Iwan Yamrewav, MSF, who will lead us in deepening our understanding of Me, You, and Us (KOPIMANIS KOPTAR).
In his address, Fr. Gigih encouraged the entire KOPIMANIS KOPTARI team to discover the beauty in their service, enabling them to find greater creativity in developing their ministry. He emphasized the importance of continuing offline gatherings to strengthen the bond among team members. BP KOPTARI remains committed to supporting young religious individuals and youth in sharing the joy and beauty of our calling as disciples of Christ.
To ensure that activities are more targeted and effectively foster the faith growth of young people, a survey among the youth is deemed necessary to obtain real data on their needs. This will help in designing appropriate programs. KOPIMANIS KOPTARI holds great strength through the diversity of congregations and the spirituality embedded within it, while also learning from the enthusiasm of young people who actively participate in various activities. Let us create a testimony that says, "Where two or three sisters—let alone more—gather, there is excitement!" We interpret this excitement as a joy that continues to be shared.
The Kopimanis Koptari Gathering was also filled with sharing sessions, getting to know each other's mission, group sports activities, a fellowship night, and divisional meetings to explore ways to enhance synergy among all Kopimanis members. Additionally, we launched the KOPIMANIS KOPTARI March and introduced a new acronym for Kopimanis Koptari. Originally standing for “Kopi darat bersama Millennial”, it has now been redefined as: “Kolaborasi Penuh Inspirasi Orang Muda dan Religius Indonesia” (“A Collaboration Full of Inspiration Between Young People and Religious in Indonesia”).
The peak of gratitude for the Kopimanis Koptari Anniversary was celebrated in the Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Fr. Yam, MSF, as the main celebrant, with Fr. Stefanus Leba, SMM, and Fr. Candra, MSF, as concelebrants. The joy of this gathering continues to inspire the pilgrimage journey of KOPIMANIS KOPTARI in the future.
